TaRaach is a Detroit-bred artist and producer with over 30 years in the game. Deeply rooted in both Detroit and Los Angeles’ underground music scenes, his musical foundation reflects a profound respect for both innovation and legacy. He began carving out his lane in the late ’90s and 2000s, co-founding The Breakfast Club alongside future Detroit pioneers Big Tone, Dwele, and Elzhi—artists who would go on to shape the city’s musical legacy. TaRaach’s influence spans decades and genres, with collaborations that include Detroit legends like J Dilla, Carl Craig, and Waajeed—artists who helped craft the city’s fusion of hip-hop, soul, and techno.
In 2005, he relocated to Los Angeles, becoming a taste maker and visionary in the city’s emerging sound, mentoring a new wave of artists while refining his sound. He released solo projects like EL-O-VEE, The Fevers, and Raach City Riot, and collaborated with LA’s most beloved, from Blu (The Piece Talks) to the visionary Sa-Ra Creative Partners and the incomparable Erykah Badu. By 2014, TaRaach stepped into a new chapter, shifting behind the scenes under the art house moniker LOVETURL, managing and producing for a cutting-edge roster of artists across both indie and major platforms.
